FRUITFUL LIFE
September 9th, 2021
The long, prickly fruit comes from the graviola tree, an evergreen native to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. It's also known as custard apple, guanabana and Brazilian paw paw. Let's not forget "Korosol" in Haitian Croele or Kreyol Ayisyen. Practitioners of herbal medicine use soursop fruit and graviola tree leaves to treat stomach ailments, fever, parasitic infections, hypertension and rheumatism. It's used as a sedative, as well. It is also purported to have medicinal qualities, with claims across the Internet that soursop extract can slow the spread of cancer or make traditional cancer therapies work better. According to Holistic Heights and many more documented resources, Dr. Sebi often spoke very highly of Soursop Tea aka "te korosol" or guanabana tea
As a natural immunity booster, Soursop has been used to ameliorate liver problems, reduce fevers, and help eliminate colds and the flu. Scientists have studied graviola since the 1940s and most research has been centered around annonaceous acetogenins, a group of natural compounds said to have anti-tumorous properties– and thus are of great support to the immune system.
